Plaintiff Noni Gotti (aka Leonor Marquez) filed at least 28 lawsuits seeking financial damages claiming that businesses which had round door knobs presented accessibility problems for her; despite this photographs of her own front door show a round door handle.
Plaintiff Gotti also filed 42 lawsuits seeking financial damages relating to unsecured floormats at businesses she visited; despite this, there was an unsecured floormat right at her front door, and several more at both her former residence and her attorney's offices.
Plaintiff Gotti also filed at least 57 lawsuits seeking financial damages for of an alleged lack of ISA signs (i.e., the "International Symbol of Accessibility"), representing that this lack of signage created a problem for her disability; despite this, neither her current large apartment building or her former motel had these signs, nor did the offices of her attorneys at the time they filed many of these lawsuits.
Plaintiff Gotti has 173 lawsuits in just one year throughout San Diego County; in many of them, claims were made which were later proved false. For example, her own attorney has admitted that she did not need "van accessible" disabled parking; despite this, he filed at least 28 lawsuits claiming she did! Even though she does not use a wheelchair, he filed lawsuits claiming inadequate wheelhchair clearance caused a problem for her disabilityin other lawsuits he claimed the business discriminated against her because it did not provide Braille.
